Is it ok for a Christian boyfriend sleep over at a Christian girlfriend's house if they are not having sex?

Sid, I saw this question but haven't watched the video yet - but this is sure a hot button issue with teenagers these days - the "avoiding even the appearance of evil" verse would apply there (among others).
Have had to talk (MANY times) with my kids about that one. And also the fact that the bible says of lust not to stand there and FIGHT it (with other temptations, we can fight fight fight and overcome).
Nope, with that particular temptation, scripture says FLEE.

Society teaches kids that they must have a girlfriend or boyfriend or they are losers. But what really happens? Teens are paired off with teens of the opposite sex, then they are encouraged to spend time "alone", and even in CHURCHES adults pressurize them by asking things like "So, do you have a girldfriend/boyfriend yet?"
How on earth is a kid supposed to be celibate til marriage with the world, nearly all adults, schools, peers, and even churchgoers pushing them to put their hand in the fire and stay in a state of constant temptation? And then we all ask how it is that people can stand there in church on Sunday while spending the rest of the week in fornication. Condemning the sin we collectively push kids into seems rather ludicrous, doesn't it?

It's just so difficult these days for teens - of all the people most sorely tempted by this world, I think teens are the special target. But when they overcome and follow God, they are also some of the most special and amazing believers - they don't seem to have the limits...or rather they don't seem to limit God the way many of us older folks have been brainwashed (by life and bad doctrine) to do. When they hear that God made a promise, these kids are more likely to say "Hooray! That's what God will DO", where older folks might say "Oh, I don't know....maybe it isn't in His will....." or whatever excuse they've learned over the years.

Anyways though, I have seen something interesting these days and it is a small "movement" that seems to be happening in churches DESPITE the adults: teens are starting to learn about courtship as opposed to dating. And they are doing it all on their own. Parents often know next to nothing about what courtship even means. I've seen kids exchanging books they've bought, written by Christian authors, about just why they should NOT "date", and why, when the time is right, courtship is more appropriate (and definitely safer) for Christian young adults.
